Zach Kaptaine begins his second season as the athletic trainer for the NOVA Nighthawks in 2018.
He comes to NOVA from Shenandoah University, where he earned a masters of science in athletic training in 2017. Prior to Shenandoah, he worked as a student assistant athletic trainer at the University of Central Florida. He graduated UCF with a degree in health sciences in 2013.
Along with his work at Shenandoah and UCF, Kaptaine also worked at Shepherd University, National Sports Medicine Institute and Georgetown University, along with Chantilly and Herndon high schools.
He is certified in CPR, Graston M-1 and a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
