Following the loss in game one, the Nighthawks pulled out a Yorick split push comp, which allowed NOVA to put pressure to the Duke Engage. Yorick picks were able to hold off the Duke Engage until late in the game, but the Blue Devils held on in a contest that lasted over 40 minutes.
WHAT THE COACHES ARE SAYING
"It is really awesome that we have been performing so well and I hope that we can continue our good form," said Overwatch coach Kyle Peich. "The one big thing that I think separates us from our competition is our teamwork and cohesion outside of the game itself. The players are all very good friends and get along well so there is never any tension in practice and we can focus on our goals."
"I think one thing we need to do is refocus on our overall game plans and work to execute them more effectively," said Director of Esports Chris Gaul. "We haven't been playing to our best ability so hopefully, we can get some more confidence before our next match."
