ANNANDALE – Following a two-year career with the Northern Virginia Community College men's basketball program, Trevaun Hyatt has signed a National Letter of Intent to play at NCAA Division II American International College.
Hyatt, who came to NOVA in 2015, played in 55 career games and started 39 times. During his Nighthawks career, the Washington, D.C., native grabbed a school record 414 rebounds and scored 483 points.
He became the first NOVA men's basketball student-athlete to score over 400 points and pull down over 400 rebounds.
During his career, Hyatt also broke the school record for steals in a game, as he picked up 11 at Bryant and Stratton. He also pulled down 20 rebounds against CCBC Catonsville, which is the second most in a game.
Since the men's basketball program began, seven former Nighthawks have gone on to play at four-year schools.
