ANNANDALE – The Northern Virginia Community College lacrosse teams short home slate wraps up Tuesday when it welcomes Potomac State to Word of Grace for a 3 p.m. faceoff.
The Nighthawks are 1-2 this season, while the Catamounts come into the contest 3-4, but have three out of their last four.
The last time out
NOVA traveled to second ranked Harford last week as the Owls took the 29-3 victory over the Nighthawks. Michael Hernandez, Grant Covert and Christopher Worrell all scored for the Nighthawks, while Grant Bostick made 13 saves.
Struggling from the face
In the two games that have been stated, NOVA has lost 50 of the 67 faceoffs this season. German Contreras leads the Nighthawks in the center circle with 13 faceoff victories.
Bostick has made 29 saves this season, which includes a career-best 16 against Delaware Tech. The 16 saves are tied for eighth best in the NOVA the record book, while the 29 stops put him in fifth all-time.

The Catamounts have scored 83 goals this season with 22 of those coming against CCBC Catonsville. PSC has also won just 37.7 percent of its faceoff this season and has a 64 percent clear percentage.
