FREDERICK, Md. – Joseph Germano scored three times to lead the Northern Viriginia Community College lacrosse team Tuesday afternoon, Frederick, however, was victorious 18-3 on an 83 degree Tuesday afternoon.

The Nighthawks fall to 1-4 and are back in action Friday when they travel to Southern Maryland for a 4 p.m. faceooff.

NOVA fell down 13-0 midway through the third quarter, then with 5:42 left in the frame, Germano ended the Nighthawks scoring drought when he scored a man-up goal.

After two more Frederick goals, Germano hit the back of the net once again for NOVA as he took a pass from Gio Lopez. Germano scored his third and final goal of the day with 2:46 left in the contest to make it 18-3.
