THIS WEEK IN NOVA ATHLETICS: March 26 – APRIL 1

ANNANDALE – Snow has become the Northern Virginia Community College lacrosse and softball teams biggest rival this spring. The Nighthawks had to alter their schedule last week, along with this week due to snow and wet field conditions.

Thursday, March 29
5 p.m. – Lacrosse at Potomac State

LACROSSE
After two games were canceled early in the week, NOVA got on the field Sunday at Delaware Tech, where the Nighthawks dropped a 22-6 decision. NOVA was led by Zack Silva, who scored a pair of goals, while Hunar Berzangi made 14 saves.

Offensively for the Nighthawks, Brian Luca, Joseph Germano and Silva have scored a combined six goals. Maxwell Frazier and Christopher Worrell have also tallied goals for NOVA this spring.

SOFTBALL
Snow and rain have wreaked havoc on the Nighthawks, as the season opener was postponed Saturday and this Thursday's twinbill at CCBC Catonsville was postponed due to rain expected throughout the week.

NOVA is now slated to open the season Saturday, April 7 at Rappahannock in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
