ANNANDALE – Christopher Worrell, who played two years with the Northern Virginia Community College lacrosse team has made a deposit and signed the necessary paperwork to play at NCAA Division III Greensboro College for the 2019 season.
Over the last two seasons with the Nighthawks, Worrell played in 15 games and started 11 times. In his career, Worrell scored 10 goals and gave five assists, while picking up 21 groundballs and winning 19 faceoffs.
As a freshman, the Greensboro, N.C., native had three two-goal games and dished a season-high three assists at Southern Maryland. During his sophomore season, Worrell scored a goal against Delaware Tech and CCBC Catonsville, while winning a career-best seven faceoffs at Union County.
Worrell becomes the 16th former Nighthawk lacrosse student-athlete to transfer to a four-year institution.
