The first match of the week at Westmoreland was cancelled, and now NOVA is slated to return to the field Thursday in the final regular season game against Anne Arundel. The Nighthawks currently sit with a 0-1-1 record in NJCAA Region 20 Division III action going into Thursday's pivotal contest against Anne Arundel.
NOVA could possibly get the third seed in the upcoming region tournament, and finish as low as fourth depending on the outcome of Thursday's match.
The Nighthawks are looking to ride some momentum following a win over Mid-Atlantic last weekend. NOVA hosts its annual Nighthawks Invitational Saturday and will play Monroe, Garrett and in-state foe Richard Bland.
Saturday also begins a five-match homestand that concludes next Tuesday against CCBC Essex, and will also feature Allegany Monday evening. The Nighthawks wrap up the regular season at Frederick on Thursday, Oct. 25.
