Offensive sluggish in region contest
CATONSVILLE, Md. – Katie Roberts led off the game with an infield single that however, was the only offense the Northern Virginia Community College softball team could muster as it dropped a 14-0 Tuesday afternoon game to CCBC Catonsville.

The Nighthawks fall to 0-3 on the season and return to action Thursday, March 30 at Anne Arundel.

Cardinals hurler Kimberlee Cook stymied the NOVA bats as she fanned four batters and faced just one over the minimum. Sam Cadigan finished the game off as she pitched the final two innings, but gave up several loud outs.

In the later frames, the Nighthawks began making contact, but still could not find a hole in the Catonsville defense as they were retired in order following the Roberts single.
