PURCELLVILLE, Va. – Jalita Montgomery scored a school record 32 points, and the Northern Virginia Community College women's basketball team defeated Patrick Henry 104-13 for the biggest margin of victory in program history.
The Nighthawks inch closer to .500 at 2-3 and return to action Tuesday, Nov. 28 when they host Patrick Henry at 5 p.m. inside Ernst Gymnasium.
NOVA jumped on top of PHC 33-2 after one quarter play, as Montgomery scored 14 points to lead the way. Theresa Sherrill added eight points and she finished the contest with 10 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
Also in the game Monday, Montgomery broke the school mark for the most steals in a game, as she swiped the ball 15 times. Tamara Moore, meanwhile, picked up 10 steals, which is tied for third most in Nighthawks history.
