ANNANDALE – A busy week lays ahead for the Northern Virginia Community College men's and women's basketball teams. The women's basketball squad continues the four-game road swing, while the men return home to play Region 20 Division II foe Garrett Thursday.

After three games last week, NOVA continues its three-game road swing Tuesday before coming home for a pivotal NJCAA Region 20 Division II contest against Garrett. The Nighthawks 1-3 this season in D-II games and sit behind seventh seed Garrett, who is 2-3.
NOVA snapped a two-game losing streak Feb. 1 and in the last two victories, the Nighthawks averaging 81.5 points per game. Muhammed Saadeldeen and Tavaris James have scored 89 of NOVA's 163 points. The Nighthawks are out rebounding their opponents 85-74 during the two-game winning streak.
The season long four-game road trip wraps up Saturday at Thomas Nelson before coming home for the final four matchups of the year. The Owls are 19-2 this season, while the Gators currently sit at 2-8.
NOVA had eight days off between games, but over the last six contests, the Nighthawks are scoring nearly 64 points per game. The defense, meanwhile, has forced opponents into 158 turnovers and have held foes to 19 percent (17-of-88) shooting from outside.
