Nighthawks go cold after hot start

NORFOLK --  Nahdeyah Quarles scored a team-high 16 points, but after a great first quarter the Northern Virginia Community College struggled from the offensive end of the floor, as Bryant and Stratton was a winner 81-47 Saturday afternoon.

The Nighthawks fall to 0-3 this season and return to the court Tuesday against Region 20 foe Potomac State at 5 p.m.

Mia Buchanon also scored in double figures for NOVA as she added 13 points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked a pair of shots. Quarles, meanwhile, picked up five steals and dished two assists to go along with her aforementioned 16 points.
