Nighthawks win fourth straight

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Jessica Harris finished with a team-high 10 kills to help the Northern Virginia Community College volleyball team to a sweep of Harcum Friday evening inside Klein Hall Gymnasium.

The Nighthawks continue their best start in program history with the 25-16, 25-23, 25-19 victory over the Bears.

The 10 kills by Harris were a career-best, while Star Mebane-Uriarte added seven kills and Lauren Havill tacked on six. As a team, NOVA hit .220 and hit into jusrt 15 attack errors, which were the third fewest this season.

Setting up the offense on Friday evening, was Sarah Abisourour, who had 22 assists, while Sylvia Cedeno and Katy Garrity combined for five assists.

Saturday morning, NOVA begins play at host Northampton at 11 a.m. and concludes the weekend against Nassau at 1 p.m.
