ANNANDALE – Only eight competition dates remain this semester for the Northern Virginia Community College men’s and women’s basketball and hockey teams -- with the first of the eight games on Monday against Hagerstown and Baltimore City.

Despite nearly getting a second 30-point performance from Tyland Crawford, the Nighthawks dropped a 107-85 decision to Beaver County Nov. 23. Corey McGhee, meanwhile, added six points, eight rebounds and seven assists for NOVA in the loss.
To close out the fall semester, the Nighthawks play four of their six games inside Ernst Gymnasium with the game of December scheduled for Friday, Dec. 20 at in-state foe Bryant and Stratton.
After three-straight on the road, NOVA returns home for four of its next five beginning Monday against NJCAA Region 20 foe Hagerstown. A season ago, the Nighthawks fell 74-59 to the Hawks despite getting 21 points from Natasha Porter.
A week ago, NOVA won its first game of the season 40-34 over Patrick Henry, as Brianna Rogers dropped 16 points in the win.
A weekend ago, the Nighthawks participated in the Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference East Coast Showdown where they fell in all three games. NOVA tied its season-high in goals with four against St. Thomas Aquinas.
The Nighthawks wrap up the fall schedule with a pair of home games against Indiana University Pennsylvania and I 95 foe Mary Washington.
