ANNANDALE – The Northern Virginia Community College Esports team and Director Chris Gaul are holding tryouts for the upcoming League of Legends and Overwatch seasons Aug. 16-17 and Aug. 23-24 inside the Nighthawks Esports Arena, which is located on the fourth floor of the CT Building.

To become a member of the esports team, all prospective student-athletes must be a NOVA student. Students are required to fill out this form https://forms.gle/qy9tY6XmYhdyBj4Z9, which requires a NOVA email address to login. After filling out the forms, prospective student-athletes will receive an email with a tryout time and date.

If students are unable to attend their assigned tryout time, a walk-in day will be announced in the coming weeks.

The peripherals of the arena and rules regarding them are as follows. The computer mice are Razer Deathadders, and the keyboards are Corsair k70s. These will be available for athletes to use during tryouts, or athletes may bring their own. Student-athletes will be able to, at max, use their own mouse, keyboard, and mousepads. Anything else (monitors, headsets, etc.) will be not allowed.

Any questions regarding the team and tryout please contact Chris Gaul (Esports Director) at cgaul@nvcc.edu.
