Corcoran’s hot start is NOVA’s No. 10 moment

ANNANDALE – The 2018-19 athletic season was filled with tremendous action on the court and field, and for the next two weeks the Northern Virginia Community College athletic department is counting down the top 10 moments.

The Nighthawks athletics staff has selected Elizabeth Corcoran’s blazing start to the 2019 softball season as our No. 10 moment.

Corcoran, who was NOVA’s shortstop hit .555 in the Nighthawks first two weeks of action. She also scored three times and had three extra base hits in her first four games of the season, which include a doubleheader against USCAA foe Christendom.

In Corcoran’s first season with the Nighthawks she hit .389 (7-of-18), scored six times, finished with 11 total bases and was 3-for-3 in the stolen base department.
