ANNANDALE – Three Northern Virginia Community College volleyball student-athletes were selected by the coaches to the NJCAA All-Region 20 team on Friday.
Sophomore Brittany Connatser and freshman Mollie Simon captured first team honors after finishing fourth and 11th in the region in kills. Connatser closed out the 2019 campaign with 240 kills, while Simon had 147 kills to go along with a region-leading 64 total blocks.
Also collecting postseason honors was sophomore Deveis Wooten, who was named second team all-region. Wooten finished up her career at NOVA eighth in the region in kills (147) and ninth in points (183).
"What a great honor for these three ladies," said head coach Marcus Robinson. "All three excelled on the court and nearly helped us to another NJCAA Region 20 championship and a trip to nationals."
Both NOVA and Montgomery each had two first team honorees, while Cecil, Hagerstown and Potomac State each had one.
