Jones becomes a Nighthawk

ANNANDALE – The Northern Virginia Community College volleyball team and head coach Marcus Robinson have announced the signing of Lindsey Jones to a Letter of Intent Wednesday.

Jones comes to the Nighthawks from Tabb High School in Newport News and the Costal Hampton Roads volleyball club. As a setter on her club volleyball team, Jones gave 379 assists, had 64 digs and 24 kills in five tournaments this spring.

“Lindsey has the makeup to be a great setter for us over the next two years,” Robinson said. “She has great ball placement and she will give our hitters a chance to do and outstanding job.”

Jones becomes the second to sign with the Nighthawks for the 2019 season joining Trinity Hensel of Chantilly High School. NOVA is coming off of a Region 20 Championship and 36 victories over the last two seasons.

“I wanted to start off at community college to get my barring’s with college but I also wanted to play volleyball,” Jones said. “In my area none of the community colleges had a team and NOVA gave me the best of both worlds.”
